As you may have seen last week, we are excited for our upcoming release of The JoyPowered® Organization, the fourth in a series of JoyPowered® books.

I teamed up with HR influencers, strategists, and JoyPowered® friends and volunteers Jeremy York and Megan Nail to write this one.  Each of us has belonged to some organizations that were JoyPowered® and some that were not, so we know the differences; the difference it made:

  • to us personally – our engagement, our tenure, and our relationships
  • on recruiting – whether it was easy or difficult to attract others to our teams
  • with our connection to the strategy and mission – whether we understood it, believed in it, and felt we could make a difference

In The JoyPowered® Organization, we set out to create a framework for organizations, both new and well established, to:

  • inspire joy in their leaders and employees
  • reconsider their organizational, operational, and people strategies
  • think twice about their initiatives around total rewards; team building; talent development; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and recruiting.

Creating a JoyPowered® organization takes focus and intention in each of these areas!

Megan, Jeremy, and I each wrote about areas that we were particularly passionate about. If you’ve read my previous books or listen to our podcast, you won’t be surprised that I chose recruiting, teams, and communication. No chapter or topic is more important than another, but these resonate so strongly for me. In reflecting on my own career, it was these three areas that made the biggest impact on me and were where I felt I could make the biggest impact on others!

This book is for EVERYONE, and especially those who want to make their organizations more JoyPowered®. You don’t have to be the owner or the CEO to do this; you can be a part of a large organization, part of a small business, or working for yourself. Truly, anyone can take steps toward creating a more JoyPowered® team, department, or location – and this can be the beginning of a JoyPowered® organization.  We want you to have the tools to accomplish this, so in the book, we provide you with a space to create a checklist of action items based on each chapter; your notes will become the inspiration you need, from first steps to long-term strategy, in creating your own JoyPowered® organization!

The JoyPowered® Organization will be available on Amazon and The JoyPowered® Shop soon! We know you will enjoy it and be inspired to create or enhance your own JoyPowered® organization. Keep following our blog as we continue to share more about the upcoming book. And if you want to make sure you’re one of the first to get a copy, you can preorder it here!
