The landscape of education is undergoing a transformative shift driven by eLearning and an increasing emphasis on active and experiential learning. eLearning offers flexibility and accessibility, enabling learners from diverse backgrounds to access quality educational resources. Active learning prioritizes engagement, including techniques like group discussions, problem-solving activities, and hands-on projects. This improves critical thinking skills, retention of information, and motivation. Having hands-on experience increases engagement and retention. It draws people in to the learning experience and gives them the opportunity to make it their own, leading to a whole new level of learning.
AI is going to be a huge factor in the future of learning. Don’t worry about your job being replaced; the people who learn how to use AI tools are going to come out ahead in the long run. Gamification and personal learning paths are major trends, as well. Anything that engages learners and offers customization to different learning styles is the way of the future!
In this episode’s listener question, we’re asked about telling an employer you’ve recently been diagnosed as neurodivergent if you don’t feel safe. In the news, employee engagement fell to its lowest level in a decade in 2024.
